The shape is circular, used to separate the inside and outside of the instrument and protect the internal components. The characteristics are low absorption, low scattering, and hardness and impact resistance. It can have high transmittance in both visible light and infrared, making it an ideal choice for systems with visible light and medium or long wave infrared sensors.
