Zinc selenide plano-convex lenses have the characteristics of low dispersion and low absorption, and have high resistance to thermal shock. They are commonly used for focusing or collimating medium wave infrared (MWIR) and long wave infrared (LWIR) spectra and are an ideal choice for thermal imaging systems. It can be coated with MgF2, UV-AR, UV-VIS, VIS-EXT, VIS-NIR, NIR I, NIR II, Telecom NIR, SWIR, SWIR, YAG-BBAR and other film systems.
