Barium fluoride wedge windows are used as protective windows for electronic sensors or external environmental detectors, as well as for changing the deflection path of light, and have a wedge shaped design. Barium fluoride material has a high transmittance from the 200nm-11um region. Barium fluoride is prone to cracking and is highly sensitive to thermal shock. It can be polished well and etched. It can be coated with reflective film, anti reflective film, filter film, spectroscopic film, polarizing film, and metallization film systems.
