Infrared window, also known as infrared temperature measurement window, is an optical window that can transmit ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light. Infrared windows are installed on the shells of various electrical cabinets such as high-voltage switchgear, urban ring main unit, and motor junction boxes. Infrared thermometers or thermal imagers can be used to easily perform various non-destructive tests on the internal equipment of the printing cabinet, meeting the testing requirements for continuous infrared non-destructive testing of most power equipment under continuous power supply. Infrared temperature measurement windows are usually composed of four parts: metal flanges, O-ring seals, protective covers, and optical glass. Among them, optical glass is the core component of infrared temperature measurement windows, which determines the transparency and durability of the windows. Common optical glass materials include sapphire, which has high strength, high hardness, high temperature resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, excellent transparency and electrical insulation properties. The materials usually include calcium fluoride and barium fluoride, with barium fluoride being more commonly used.
